Privacy policy.
Plain English. No tracking-for-the-sake-of-it. We only collect the information we need to give you a quote and run the job — and we tell you exactly where everything goes.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote, call us, text us, or fill the contact form, we collect what you give us: name, phone number, service address, and a short description of the job. That is it. We don't ask for ID, SSN, or anything we don't actually need to load the truck.
When you browse the site, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) logs standard request data — IP address, browser, referring page — for security and uptime. We do not run a behavioral analytics tool that builds a profile of you.
What we use it for
- Quoting and scheduling — to call you back, confirm the address, and dispatch the crew.
- Service follow-up — to confirm the job went well and answer any post-job questions.
- Aggregated, anonymous patterns — like which pages are most visited — to make the site better.
We never sell your information. We never share it with third parties for marketing.
Cookies and third parties
The site uses a small set of cookies and embeds. Here is the full list:
- Site preferences (set by us) — remembers your cookie banner choice so we don't ask again. Stored in your browser's localStorage. Expires when you clear browser data.
- Google Maps — the contact page embeds a Google map of our HQ. Google may set cookies to render it. See Google's privacy policy.
- Reputation Rooster — the reviews page loads our verified Google reviews via a third-party widget. See Reputation Rooster's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — typography is served from Google's CDN. Google may log the request for font delivery.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, to (a) tell you what we have on file about you, (b) correct anything that's wrong, or (c) delete everything. Email hello@comojunkpirates.com or call (573) 352-5865 and we will handle it within seven days.
If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you the same rights, plus the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of any sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
Quote requests and contact form submissions are kept for up to two years, then permanently deleted, unless we are required to retain records longer for tax, accounting, or legal reasons (typically up to seven years for invoiced jobs).
Security
The site runs on Cloudflare with TLS encryption end to end. Our internal systems for quoting and dispatch are accessed only by the crew and admin staff, with multi-factor authentication.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we update this page and bump the "last updated" date at the top. For material changes (like adding a new third party), we'll surface a banner on the site so you don't have to check.
